What to expect on the day of assessment

A gold-standard neurodevelopmental assessment is a thorough clinical investigation. Here is what you should expect from this provider:

  • Pre-Assessment Check: You will complete pre-screening questionnaires (such as ASRS for ADHD or AQ-10 for Autism) and gather background information.
  • Structured Diagnostic Interview: The clinician will conduct a clinical interview using validated tools (like the DIVA-5 and/or ADOS-2). They will discuss your development, school reports, and current day-to-day challenges.
  • Informant Report: Where possible, a parent, partner, or close friend who knew you in childhood or knows you well now will be interviewed to corroborate symptoms.
  • Outcome & Feedback: A detailed diagnostic report is issued explaining the diagnosis and mapping out recommended accommodations or treatment plans.

GPs are not legally obligated to accept private SCAs and may refuse if the provider is not NICE-guideline compliant. This provider's reports are NICE-guideline compliant (GMC/HCPC registered team), which maximizes GP acceptance rates.

Patient Reviews

Lowest price and incredibly fast!

I was skeptical because the price was so much lower than other clinics, but they were brilliant. The assessment was done online by an NHS-qualified consultant psychiatrist. I had the full diagnostic report in my email just 3 days later. Absolutely superb value.

Fast and cheap, but check with your GP first!

The assessment was quick and the price is unbeatable (£595). However, my local GP initially refused shared care because they said the assessment was too brief compared to local protocols. I had to advocate strongly and show the psychiatrist's NHS credentials to get it approved. The clinic was helpful in providing extra letters, but be prepared for some GP pushback.

Good, basic private option

Simple, direct, and affordable. If you want a no-frills, rapid assessment that is fully compliant with NICE guidelines, this is a great choice. Follow-up communication can sometimes be a bit slow, but the core clinical work is solid.
